Position Summary Information

Minimum Qualifications

- Masters Degree in higher education, public administration, social science, statistics, or related field of study.
- 3-5 years of experience in an institutional research office with a high level of responsibility, or increased responsibility over time.
- Expert knowledge of relational databases and the ability to manage and analyze data from various sources.
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAS, SQL, SPSS, Excel, Tableau, and/or other similar statistical and data file building and visualization reporting applications.
- Demonstrated SAS or SQL programming experience.
- Experience with enterprise Business Intelligence systems.
- Experience working in or with an IT department.

License/Certification Required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Associate Director of Strategic Analytics and IR manages data and reporting projects, conducts statistical analyses, and reports information. Using sound practices of data analysis and visualization, this position provides information solutions with an understanding of best practices and business intelligence. This position develops interactive visualizations that address a variety of questions and audiences. This position uses SAS, SQL, Tableau, and SPSS, as well as other BI or data analysis tools to carry out many of the statistical reporting requirements. This position gives presentations about University data to various committees and entities. This position works with Information Analytics to develop dynamic reporting solutions for the University. This position supervises two analysts.
